I received my PhD in mathematics from the University of Cambridge in 1998, under the supervision of Béla Bollobás. I then spent five years at Philips Research Laboratories, working on GPS receiver algorithms, followed by four years at the University of Memphis, working on random geometric graphs. My current research interests include extremal and probabilistic combinatorics, and stochastic geometry.
